If you still haven’t booked your summer holiday you need to get onto it fast as availability is getting trickier! We’ve pulled together some of our favourite family holiday hotels and why, to help you with some inspiration.
Marbella Club
The Marbella Club is a dream holiday destination for families. One of our team has described the newly renovated Kids Club as the best she has ever seen! It is like a mini village hidden within the Marbella Club offering pottery and art, music and dancing, cookery, nature experiences and of course lots of sport.
An incredibly stylish hotel, there are loads of activities for adults too including a golf course, riding stables, tennis and the coolest beach club.
Santa Marina
Hang out with the cool kids at Santa Marina in Mykonos. This uber-luxe retreat is set overlooking the exquisite and iconic Ornos Bay and has the only private beach on Mykonos, making its transparent turquoise waters and white silk sands a genuine sanctuary.
Santa Marina’s Kids Club is a unique place that caters to children from 3 year olds onwards and has specially configured indoor and outdoor facilities that include a Lappset playground with its own dedicated children’s pool.
Borgo Egnazia
Borgo Egnazia recently received the ‘Best Family Hotel’ award and it is easy to see why. It truly enables parents to relax whilst the children are thoroughly entertained. Borgo Egnazia can provide everything you need for the youngsters – meaning you don’t have to pack the kitchen sink. From highchairs to sterilizers, bottle warmers and cots and of course their own nursery.
They even have a special restaurant for children ’da Puccetta’, designed exclusively for young guests where they can try all manner of dishes carefully created and prepared for children.
Activities include jewellery making, vegetable gardening and visits to the beach. The Teen Club is a multimedia extravaganza complete with Wii and wifi as well as tennis and golf clinics.
St Regis Mallorca
If your children are budding Justin Roses, there is a fantastic junior golf academy for kids and teenagers. There are also specialised spa treatments for children under 12.
One of the most beautiful beaches on the island can be found just a few minutes from The St. Regis Mardavall. This spa resort is an ideal starting point for day trips and the butler service is more than happy to help plan any kind of excursion. Palma is only a 15 minute drive away.
Cap-Ferrat
Le Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat embodies the classic glamour of the French Riviera. And gastronomy is big at this Four Seasons hotel. Introduce your children to wonderful French food with a lunch featuring a special kids’ menu designed by the chef at La Véranda, then have them experiment in a cooking class led by the pastry chef.
Or head to Monaco to explore the Oceanographic Museum and its aquariums, then return to the Hotel and pamper your children with a Kids Calming Massage or Little Feet Fun treatment at Le Spa.
Martinhal
The Martinhal Sagres beach resort offers relaxed barefoot luxury for parents. Amid rugged parkland and beside surfer’s-paradise seas, choose to do a lot or a little – from biking and boat trips to snail’s-pace beachcombing. There are self-catering options and ultra-child-friendly restaurants but you can also order a takeaway from any of the Martinhal’s excellent restaurants and eat at your room if little ones are asleep.
