It’s all about family travel this month and a fabulous new option in the Algarve is the new Anantara Vilamoura, just a 15 minute drive from Faro airport. There is a focus on Portuguese art with Anatara’s trademark emphasis on local heritage. Service is highly professional and activities include cooking classes with a visit to the market; a golf guru to advise on the surrounding courses in Vilamoura; and for children the hotel has a partnership with the Worldwide Kids Company. There is complimentary yoga, pilates or tai-chi in the mornings, plus a tennis court. There are also four pools outside (one for adults only). A shuttle runs a service to Vilamoura, the golf courses and the beach.
