360 offers us the perfect balance between building a travel business from scratch without being completely alone in the process. It has been especially exciting for me to be able to set up and lead 360’s new Singapore office, as I love having the flexibility to manage my own clients, while growing our team by supporting our local Partners and Associates in establishing their own businesses.
- How did you find out about 360 and what was the deciding factor in coming onboard?
I bumped into an old colleague from London at PURE who had since joined 360 Private Travel, and having moved around various roles at different tour operators, I knew that my eventual next step was to bring all my past experience together and work independently for my clients. 360 offers us the perfect balance between building a travel business from scratch without being completely alone in the process. It has been especially exciting for me to be able to set up and lead 360’s new Singapore office, as I love having the flexibility to manage my own clients, while growing our team by supporting our local Partners and Associates in establishing their own businesses.
2. Tell us about your background in the travel industry?
I have been part of the travel industry for over 11 years now, first starting at a luxury tour operator in London specialising in South and Central America. I moved to Singapore 7 years ago and jumped at the opportunity to set up and manage the Latin America department for a leading luxury African Safari specialist based here. Finally, I joined one of Asia’s top luxury operators as their Head of Product.
- What makes 360 standout in this space of representing independent travel designers?
In Singapore, 360 really sets itself apart as we are the only company that represents independent travel professionals! What has stood out the most for me, (and I know the rest of the Singapore team would agree) is how much support, encouragement and help everyone at 360 is willing to offer. There are so many different ways that travel information is shared across our network, and the Head Office team works extremely hard to ensure that we have plenty of opportunities to deepen our product knowledge and build crucial relationships with our supplier partners.
- What are you most looking forward to about managing, building, and being part of a growing presence in Singapore?
I am excited to introduce 360 to all the amazing travel professionals who are based in Singapore. While the ‘Independent Consultant’ concept is fairly newfound in Asia, everyone is genuinely surprised by the amount of support that 360 offers, as well as the opportunity for our Partners and Associates to work under their own brand, which is truly unique. 360’s robust relationships across the travel industry have also been a huge help with setting up our Singapore office, and I genuinely feel proud to lead a global company that is well regarded across the luxury travel industry. Despite launching 360 in Singapore at the start of the pandemic, the fact that we are already a team of 5 is testament to the respect and reputation that the company has maintained within the industry, and I can’t wait for more people to join us!
