Albee had a thrilling introduction to Africa – a five-day canoeing expedition down the Lower Zambezi river followed by an elephant safari through the Okavango Delta flood plains. She was hooked and enchanted at the same time, and soon found herself managing exclusive safari camps in Botswana and Zambia. That was in the 1990s; since then she’s managed and established Africa and Asia departments for leading tour operators. Now she brings all this experience to her own 360 show.
“I have personally visited over 20 African countries and every year I spend at least two months in Africa searching out special hotels, lodges, beaches and villas,” she says. ”I’m recognised for my pioneering explorations, and I’ve been a judge of The Safari Awards since its inception in 2007.”
Albee’s proud boast is that she’s visited every destination she recommends, and so each fabulous holiday she builds for her clients has a bit of her experience sealed-in.
